Tai Chi’s flowing , slow and controlled movements are easy and fun o learn. Tai Chi has many physical benefits: improved balance, increased flexibility, decreased pain and joint stiffness, improved cardio respiratory fitness and improved muscle strength. Tai Chi also stimulates mental focus, calms the mind and promotes a sense of wellbeing.

Tai Chi for Health’s Institute’s protocol for Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) as developed by Dr. Paul Lam and promoted by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) as a program to prevent falls among older adults will be used in this class.
